{"id":1702,"date":"2011-11-01T06:08:41","date_gmt":"2011-11-01T11:08:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/toddsingleton.net\/chronicle\/?p=1702"},"modified":"2011-11-01T14:03:49","modified_gmt":"2011-11-01T19:03:49","slug":"1702","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/toddsingleton.net\/chronicle\/2011\/11\/01\/1702\/","title":{"rendered":"Occupy!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Public protests in objection to Wall Street seems to be  working well.\u00a0  In Oct. the DJIA had it&#8217;s highest recorded gains during a  single month in history. \u00a0 Republicans and their laughable, reality TV  style debates are the most popular thing on every week.\u00a0  Yep, the  Occupy protesters are taking action!\u00a0  They took time off protesting to  go buy an iPhone 4s. \u00a0 That&#8217;ll learn &#8217;em.\u00a0  Greedy Apple.<\/p>\n<p>Sad part  is I agree with a lot of what they&#8217;re protesting but the methods have  been so ineffective that Wall St. is chuckling and moving on.\u00a0 Things taking place in Europe are having far more effect on the markets than the Occupy movement. \u00a0 If these  protestors really wanted to &#8220;take action&#8221; against greedy corporations  they&#8217;d act with their wallets.\u00a0  No Starbucks, cancel the smartphone  contract, stay out of Wal-Mart, park the car, no cable or satellite TV,  close the bank account&#8230;.*gasp* real sacrifices?<\/p>\n<p>But no.
