I’m Todd Singleton, the founder of ZTS\u00b5<\/a> and creator of the bigbox.bot<\/a>, a platform I conceived after managing digital trading partnerships between manufacturers and America’s largest big box retailers for over 20 years. Since starting my own local IT company in 1998, PC-Pickles<\/a>, (thank ‘s for the haunt Wayback) I’m proud to have helped build some of the largest companies born or headquartered the Research Triangle region of North Carolina.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n

Since I began this blog in 2004 I helped found the IT department of 1-800-Pack-Rat<\/a>, designed the network, rack and server cabinet architecture for the American Kennel Club’s<\/a> current data center in Raleigh, NC. I also established the IT department for Trimaco, now Icon Protection<\/a>, a historic employee-owned manufacturer and distributor born in Durham, NC. I’m still involved with several manufacturing and supply chain technology initiatives local to the Raleigh-Durham area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Building ZTS\u00b5, ztsmicro.com<\/a> where I am an employee-owner designing and deploying high powered GPU servers for Agentic AI Large Language Models (LLMs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Acting as Chief Technology Officer for the bigbox.bot<\/a>, an Agentic AI LLM for retail and industrial supply chain data integration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Learning data models for a variety of ERP systems including Dynamics AX, Infor M3, Epicor, SAP, NetSuite and others<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Electronic Document Interchange (EDI) partnership development<\/p>\n\n\n\n

iPass integrations for data endpoints, SOAP and REST APIs, and EDI X12 and EDIFact document translation<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barcode and label automations for GS1 vendor and transportation compliance<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Building IT teams of top-level SMEs<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

In my career I\u2019ve been honored with the responsibility of deploying and managing a history of technologies such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zero Trust authentication, SASE, SSO, MFA security measures, and Disaster Recovery models<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enterprise Wide and Local Area network communication, secure WAP, SSID and Handheld RF deployments<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Firewalls, port management and network gateway security configurations including BGP and HA SD-WAN<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remote application deployment and configuration (Citrix ICA Gateways, VPNs)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hypervisors and they’re respected VMs (VMWare, MS Hyper-V, Citrix XenServer) for SaaS hosts<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enterprise SQL server database deployment, maintenance and administration, primarily Microsoft SQL<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Business Intelligence systems deployment and report development (Business Objects, Qlikview, QlikSense, MS Power BI)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Storage Area Networks and Compute Resources (NetApp, EMC, Nimble Storage)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And of course Active Directory and Microsoft 365 Administration. I can’t remember not being a Domain or Global Admin on someone’s domain.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

Most importantly I was lucky enough to marry a gorgeous woman a decade younger than me and we have three grown boys, thankfully all of upstanding character. We’ve gotten rid of the mini-van for high performance sports sedans, trucks and SUVs. Surprisingly no EV in the family yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
